Author of more than 16 books on human development, existential reflections, humanity’s ever-present questions of its origins and purpose of life, spiritual dimension as the true nature of humans, the different levels of reality, human suffering and religious revelations.

Reynaldo Pareja is an author that is in constant search of the transcendent dimension of existence. He was chosen as our author of the month based on his philosophical essay approach coupled with extensive reading and a lot of critical reflection.
He is probably one of our most outstanding metaphysical authors always in search of the connections between physical reality and the spirit which he has pursued along seven books published with us.
It is highly probable that none of those publications offers final answers – if they ever exist – to his quest of the perennial questions of humanity. His intention is not to become a prophet, rather an individual who is willing to express his point of view for the enrichment of his readers.
The reason for this orientation has been well expressed when he affirmed, “I have understood that there is no greater gift that to be alive in Existence recognizing it that it is free and you have done nothing to earn it”. Because Existence is such a gift our author sees that it does not acquire its full meaning unless one asks the profound questions that life offers. The answers must be sought in that reality “in which we are constantly immersed, but we seem to be unaware of its presence”.
Essays with a critical approach
In Pareja’s books one can find religion, personal growth, spirituality, and applied phycology. Even though it might give the impression of a dispersed thematic, there is a constant way of narrating his thoughts through his favorite medium: the essay. This literary genre gives him the liberty to express his very well documented personal interpretation, which often challenges other interpretations.
Independent of the literary medium chosen, his books have in common a method of approach to the themes he undertakes: to present a critical view that questions everything he contemplates to be able to arrive at their rational comprehension. This approach has been constant when Pareja makes the effort to unveil the reality hidden in the questions that humanity has constantly posed. This approach has demanded our author to use frequently a technical and scientific language to be able to present his in-depth analysis. Yet, he does not shunt from expressing the emotional aspects of his existential experience of those very same questions.
Pareja admits that his opinions and ideas have been shaped by many authors, which does not excludes his own thoughts and perspectives that were born many times when having deep conversations with friends. In his words, “They present me their doubts, beliefs and emotions. Afterwards I filter them through my own reflections and writings on the subject matter, my previous books and presentations that I have done”.
From the beginnings of humanity to the multi-level reality
In Pareja’s first essay, Sisyphus the evolutionary infancy of humanity, he addressed “the connection between our space-time dimension and the mysterious reality of Spirit”. The essay is a search to answer the question of why humans continue to make the same mistakes of our ancestors. Afterwards Pareja presented us his most personal book, Beloved Son, I am going to be your father. In it, he explores “the mystery of being created” through the letters he wrote to his unborn son expressing him the emotions and feelings experienced as an “expectant father to be”.
He has three books dealing with religious topics, What do I believe in? Progressive Revelation, and Frequent Questions Christians pose to the Baha’i Faith. In the first book, he makes a critical review of the central dogma of Catholicism and presents the logic that sustained the development of the subsequent dogmas showing some of the contradictions that the process made possible for them to appear. Progressive Revelation presents the historical Revelations of the major religions of the world and how they form an uninterrupted dialogue of God with humanity.
His most ambitious technical and scientific essay appears in his book, The multidimensional man lives in a Multidimensional Reality. In it, he shows how physical reality is made up multiple levels, each one more complex than the previous level. This complexity is found in man with the difference that he presents an additional dimension, that of consciousness and spirit. It is his most “intimate look” into the total reality of man and his physical environment.
First writing, then marketing
Even though Pareja has participated in a local interview television program, he has placed the promotion of his books on hold because he has concentrated in channeling “his writing impulse” that has produced new and more in-depth books.
In his own words: “I have dedicated far more time in writing than in developing a contact relationship with potential readers”. As soon as he finishes writing some more “thematic ideas” he will dedicate more time to the promotion of his books. His reasoning is simple, “It is more important for me to keep publishing and one day the recognition will arrive, than to dedicate precious time in getting the recognition to keep on publishing”.
To our author there is no greater pleasure that to write because he firmly believes that “one of the greatest gifts humans have is to be able to share with others his universe of ideas”. His practical advice to anyone interested in writing a book is “One must write every day because it is only in the daily exercise of writing that one finally is able to dominate the medium”. In his book, Suffering, between the causers and the ones responsible, he has shown the level of language proficiency that he has acquired.

Reynaldo Pareja es quizás uno de nuestros autores destacados más metafísicos, quizás también el único que no se ha conformado en buscar respuestas sobre las conexiones entre realidad física y espíritu en un libro sino que lo ha hecho en hasta siete publicaciones con nuestra editorial.
Es cierto que seguramente ninguna de ellas exhiba respuestas inapelables –si es que éstas existen- pero también lo es que su intención como escritor nunca ha sido convertirse en profeta sino expresar su propio punto de vista para el enriquecimiento común.
“He logrado entender que no hay mayor don que el de estar vivo en la Existencia y este don es gratuito”. Una existencia que, no obstante, no tiene sentido para nuestro autor si no se plantea algunas de las grandes preguntas de la vida. Y unas respuestas que tampoco lo tienen si no conciben los límites naturales del mundo como parte de la realidad “en la que vivimos inmersos”.
Ensayo y método crítico
En sus obras hay religión, hay crecimiento personal, hay espiritualidad y hay psicología aplicada. Entre la variedad está el gusto pero, en contraste con esta dispersión temática, hay también una forma constante de contarlo: el ensayo. Éste es el que le brinda a Pareja la libertad de exponer su interpretación más personal a la vez que documentada sin que esto implique refutar otras concepciones.
Además, independientemente de la forma, sus obras coinciden también en el método: un criticismo de base que se cuestiona cuanto lo rodea para llegar a comprender desde la racionalidad y “en profundidad”. Un método que es tan inalterable como la voluntad del escritor a la hora de ponerlo en práctica: el esfuerzo de revelar la realidad escondida de “temas perennes que la humanidad se ha preocupado por elucidar, indagar, profundizar y comprender”.
Estas pretensiones conducen inevitablemente a nuestro escritor al uso mayoritario de un lenguaje científico y técnico que, no obstante, se resiste a desechar por completo aseveraciones más emocionales. “Aunque todas mis formulaciones no sean en términos científicos, no por ello es menor el análisis de profundidad que intento hacer”, apunta el autor.
Pareja, quien asegura ser el producto de los autores que lo han “moldeado” a través de sus criterios, ideas y perspectivas, no se encierra tampoco en su bola de cristal a la hora de escribir ya que, tal y como explica, sus obras nacen primigeniamente de conversaciones con amistades: “Ellos ponen ante mí sus preocupaciones, dudas y creencias y yo después las filtro a través de los libros y artículos de revistas especializadas que he leído al respecto, las reflexiones que he realizado, los ensayos que he escrito y las presentaciones que he realizado”.
De los albores de la humanidad a la multi-realidad
La primera de las tentativas de nuestro autor de abordar “la conexión entre nuestro espacio-temporalidad y la misteriosa realidad del Espíritu” la encontramos en su primera publicación, Sísifo, la infancia evolutiva de la humanidad, una búsqueda de la respuesta al por qué los seres humanos cometemos los mismos errores con los que anteriormente tropezaron nuestros antepasados.
De este estadio inicial del desarrollo, Pareja pasa al que sea seguramente su libro más personal, aunque no exento de su faceta más filosófica, Querido hijo, voy a ser Papá…!, donde explora “los misterios de comenzar a Ser” a partir de una compilación de cartas a su hijo.
Las cuestiones más religiosas son centrales en otras tres de sus obras ¿Por qué creo en lo que creo?, Si Dios se revela al Hombre… ¿Cómo lo hace? y Preguntas más frecuentes de los Cristianos sobre la Fe Bahá’i.
En la primera, una revisión de los dogmas centrales del Catolicismo permite al autor descubrir sus contradicciones internas y concluir que “el Cristianismo formal, dogmático y sin espacio para la pregunta está destinado a morir”, mientras que la segunda aborda el fenómeno religioso desde una perspectiva más histórica con un repaso a “aquellas afirmaciones que han dicho algo sobre Dios basado en una Revelación hecha por El mismo”.
La que sea posiblemente su obra más ambiciosa por la compilación de datos reseñados por la ciencia que contiene es El Hombre Multidimensional vive en la Realidad Multidimensional, un intento de abordar los diversos “niveles de realidad física y biológica” en los que vivimos y que conforman lo que el autor califica de “realidad completa”. El fin de lo objetivo y lo subjetivo gracias a una mirada “íntima”.
Primero la escritura, la promoción
Aunque ha participado ya en un programa de televisión que, según asegura, le dio “reconocimiento local”, este autor autopublicado ha colocado la promoción de sus obras en un segundo plano y ha concentrado sus esfuerzos en canalizar su “imperiosa necesidad de escribir” con nuevas y cada vez mejores publicaciones.
“Me he dedicado más a escribir que a cultivar el público”. No obstante, nos confiesa también que cuando termine de compartir “las ideas motrices” que tiene en la cabeza y tenga el tiempo suficiente, empezará con la difusión de sus múltiples obras. Sin presiones: “Es preferible seguir publicando y un día el reconocimiento llegará que no esperar el reconocimiento para seguir publicando porque tal vez no llegará”.
Y es que para este escritor nada es más grato que el placer que le produce el ejercicio de la pluma, “uno de los vehículos más excelsos que tenemos los hombres para compartir nuestro universo de ideas”. Con la experiencia que le ha dado la práctica, se permite ofrecer un consejo a todos los que quieren llegar a ser autores: “Hay que escribir todos los días pues es solo en el ejercicio diario y constante que finalmente se lograr dominar el medio”.
Con una nueva obra recientemente publicada, El sufrimiento entre causante y culpables, llena ésta también de preguntas y análisis crítico, no vacilamos al afirmar que este escritor domina ya el arte literario a la perfección.
